St. Ann Woman Charged with Fifth DWI

Missouri law states a person who has pleaded guilty to or has been found guilty of four or more intoxication-related traffic offenses is labelled a “Chronic Offender”. This is what a local woman is facing after pleading guilty to her fifth DWI charge. The 49 year old woman pleaded guilty to a DWI chronic offender charge in St. Louis County Circuit Court on Monday and will be sentenced Jan. 23.

She was pulled over at 1:27 a.m. for speeding when the officer noticed “bloodshot and glassy eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol on her breath.” The woman refused a breath test. After getting a warrant, a blood test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.12 percent.
